School Board approves 2026-27 budget

The Stanwood-Camano School Board adopted the 2026-27 Stanwood-Camano School District Annual Budget during the regular board meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

The board unanimously approved the budget after a public hearing where no citizens spoke. View the 2026-27 Budget and Four-Year Budget Plan Summary and view the Citizens Guide to the Budget on our budget website.

The board also heard the June Financial Report from Brenda Hunt, Executive Director of Business Services.

The board also received four donations:

• $218.29 from the Stanwood High School Booster Club in support of the athletics department.
• $296.20 from the Friends of Camano Island Parks to cover the transportation costs for the Utsalady Elementary School field trip to Camano Island State Park.
• $1,056.10 from the Lincoln Hill High School Booster Club to cover the transportation costs for the field trips to the Pacific Science Center and Riverside Lanes.
• $1,214.40 from the Stanwood-Camano Music Boosters, Inc. in support of travel to band events and performances.

One citizen spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting. Citizens can sign up for public comment for the regular board meetings HERE or in-person prior to the start of a meeting.

The board’s next regular business meeting is at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18. All meetings are in the boardroom at the Stanwood-Camano School District Administration & Resource Center, 26920 Pioneer Highway, in Stanwood.
